Let it Ride is a 5 card stud poker based table game. The player places three initial bets of equal value down on the table, one for each of his cards. The player is dealt three cards and the dealer is dealt two. The dealers cards are face down.
Once the player has been dealt, he can choose to remove one of his bets based on the cards he sees in his hand. The dealer will then flip over one of his cards. The player can then choose to either pull back a second bet or “let it ride.” The dealer then reveals his second card and begins payouts.
Any player who does not reach a pair of 10s or better will lose whatever bets are on the table. A player with a single pair of 10s or better will retain his bet but receive no further payout. The payout for two pairs is 2:1, three of a kind pays 3:1, a straight pays 5:1, a flush 8:1, a full house 11:1, four of a kind pays 50:1, a straight flush 200:1 and a royal flush pays 1000:1.
Several casinos allow side bets on their Let It Ride tables. One of these is the “pairs plus” wager where the player can bet that his hole cards will contain a pair or better. Payouts vary by casino and card combination, but are usually similar to the payouts for three card poker.
